It helps to streamline the procurement process by reducing manual tasks, delays, and errors.
  • Buying and Invoicing.
  • Supplier Management.
  • Contract Management.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration.
  • Interface is complex.
  • Lack of training and knowledge to use the product.
  • SAP Ariba Procurement provides reporting and analytics features. Users have suggested several times that more advanced analytics capabilities could be added to it.
It helps to reduce manual errors, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency in the procure-to-pay cycle.

We use SAP Ariba Procurement for GR and SR functionalities The overall functionality regarding procurement and invoicing is quite nice and is used by us. It is a cloud based product which ensure high level of availability without any support efforts on our side, we he RFB can be issued online and the vendors can submit the response online without much issues
  • RFB process
  • GRN
  • Service entry
  • Product support from SAP
Procurement self-service - Ariba can be used quite well for procurement scenarios invoicing RFB process - as this is a cloud based solution, availability is quite high and the vendors can submit the response online without the usual pen and paper stuff GRN - goods and service receipt is another area where we use Ariba for automated GRN process

It's help us in financial source supply chain management procurement. Workflow effort is also comfortable.most valuable thing is its available 24 HR live service because of cloud, when we suffer any disaster we have difficulty to run application.i think Ariba is the best solution given by sap.
  • Supplier onboarding
  • Purchase automation
  • Analytics
  • ERP connectivity
  • Customized dashboard
  • Real time notification
  • Api integration
  • Custom Responsive layout
As per end users demand there are so many requirements not possible by sap ERP while sap ariba is one of good cloud integrated project .we are struggling for dashboard features and user friendly interfaces .so Ariba we found useful , function consultant easily can support end users since it's very easy to work.

Ariba is very useful tool to centralize the all the contracts for the company. The contracts are easy to access by procurement professionals all over the company. On the other hand, procure to pay has been easy since the Ariba went live. we can able to do all the processes such as approving the PO's, accessing procurement requests and accessing contracts in one system.
  • PO Approvals
  • Contract Management
  • Procurement to Pay
  • Contract Centralization and management
  • Procurement Souring requests Management
  • PO Managrement
Before Ariba, we use to use Contract Life Management (CLM) for contract management, SRM for PO approvals, Service NOW and CRC share point for reviewing the contracts for procurement. After Ariba all these processes has been centralized and able to accomplih these tasks in one SAP system. This SAP is really useful.

SAP Ariba procurement is used extensively in my org for complete service procurement cycle right from purchasing, buying, business networks.
Some of the main business use cases we are greatly helped by SAP Ariba procurement are namely end to end procurement digitised experience, cost reduction, business process visibility and informed decision making.,
  • Its data driven user solution helps in gaining visibility into the landscape and thus helps in informed decision making
  • End to end procurement process under single platform and integration makes it easier
  • We have always experienced cost reduction using SAP ariba
  • I would love to see more integrations
  • Would love to have more autonomy in defining the enterprise business model of my org and realising it in SAP experience
  • UX is great.... But I would love to make it more simplistic
Whoever wants a great solution for end to end procurement solution, SAP ariba is the best. Even if the business or the company is new to the market, it still cam use SAP Ariba procurement to realise their business and easily digitize their business landscape. Also well suited for SMBs.

Using SAP arabia for the first time made me felt that how streamline the sales processes are.
I used it when we were trying to onboard KRAHEJA - A luxury real estate brand of Mumbai wherein the complete sales cycle was done on SAP.
The moment we raised the PI, it was added by the customer admin and after filling necessary details, the corresponding PO was raised.
Similarly, the invoice details were filled by our finance wherein we uploaded all the bank and GST details and basis on a 3-step hierarchy, we were given approvals after the due dilligence.

This made the complete process transparent for us and automated for the customer and real-time updates were recorded.
From procurement, sales and finance stand point, SAP solves the problem very efficiently leaving a WOW element for all.
  • streamlining of cross-functional processes
  • transparency amongst the users
  • automations
  • The login process is sometime tedious for first time users
  • The console is slightly tough to understand for the users at time
Well-Suited Scenarios:
Large Enterprises with Complex Procurement Needs
Global Supply Chain Management
Integration with SAP ERP Systems
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
Compliance and Risk Management
E-Procurement and Catalog Management

Less Appropriate Scenarios:
Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Limited IT Resources
Simple Procurement Processes
Resistance to Change
Short-Term Procurement Needs

We use SAP Ariba for our source to pay process (requisition, procurement, invoicing) including Ariba guided buying.
Advantages of Ariba procurement are standardized processes / approval workflows and catalogs.
  • Procurement workflow
  • Self Service
  • Approvals workflow
  • User interface
  • Mass creation of purchase orders
  • Speed of user interface
SAP Ariba is an excellent tool for existing SAP customers integrating into S4 HANA and adding a modern web enabled interface for procurement functions.

We are using SAP Ariba Procurement for our IT and non IT procurement. It can be easily integrated with AD and other risk and compliance tools such as RSA Archer through API. We have customised it as per our need. This tool helping us in getting quotes from different vendors on a particular product or service and then we can accordingly select the vendor that fit our need. This product is helping us in managing our vendors effectively.
  • Vendor Evaluation and Onboarding.
  • Vendor Risk Management to meet internal policy compliance.
  • Easy integration with other GRC tools and reporting tools.
  • It is a very costly product.
  • Although it suport customusation but some out of box fields does not support it.
  • Reports and dashboard could be improved.
It is well suited for companies who deals with large number of vendors because it helps in negotiating better deals and track the spending on different category of vendors. It helps in establishing vendor metrics to evaluate their performance as well. It is less appropriate for orvanisation who deals with fixed vendors or less number of vendors.

De-Centrelised indirect procurement departments in different countries. One dedicated department in Austria, which is responsible for dedicated commodities. However, the company hasn’t had any kind of indirect procurement department before the digital transformation started approximately 7 years ago and orders for indirect products and services were commited by phone or email.

Standardized and pre-defined products with three or more potential suppliers as well as structured services. SAP Ariba is a business standardized procurement solution which was developed for industrial and producing organisations. From a procurement perspective, SAP Ariba fits to these kind of organizations, however, it can be adapted to organizations in other industrial sectors.

We deploy SAP Ariba Procurement for several industries, the main issue we have is related to service line items integration between buying and sourcing, if a shopping cart is created in buying with a Service line item, the request cannot be processed from Sourcing. This is critical for some customers that dont need Fieldglass, only need source Services and have service master in ERP. The solution provided from product team is to create services requisition in ERP instead of buying but this is not good welcome since the user should enter in more than one system to request (erp and SAP Ariba Procurement)
  • User interface
  • End to end process
  • flexibility
  • integration with erp
  • team collaboration
  • Cost break down is not fully developed
  • Services integration end to end
  • contract re-negotiation
We deploy SAP Ariba Procurement from more than 10 years ago and we believe the platform cover most of the cases. The points that should be improved are cost breakdown functionality (have several limitations) and services line items integration.

We use Ariba Procurement to manage Indirect spend for Majority of our categories and we implement Full P2P landscape to approve invoices in the Buyer.
  • Approval of requisition works very well
  • Flexibility of the configuration for requisitions is good
  • Adjustment of solution for country specifics is fine
  • procurement data export delay shall be reduced in Ariba reports
  • Navigation for Users to view Accounding details shall be simplified as it has far fetching consequences.
It works fine for goods purchases. For Services is might be further developed. Out of the box solution for complex scenarios (multiple splits, mixed purchase types) might be considered.

Sourcing, contracting, buying, invoicing, vendor management in 40 countries. We use this product for decentralized and direct procurement. Business problems that this product addresses are workflow optimization, separation of responsibilities, master and transactional data management, invoice processing, supplier sourcing, and contract management. All of these except for master data management were paper-based prior to the acquisition of Ariba.
  • Workflow automation
  • Data and reporting
  • Contract management
  • Data analytics, visualization, and integration
  • User management
  • Supplier data management
Ariba is well suited to enforce the end to end workflow for source to pay. It has allowed us to take a cumbersome and disjointed paper-based process and turn it into a segmented, automated, and controlled process that can scale to global procurement users. It has allowed for sourcing and contracting projects to be globally controlled and for data to be captured for greater oversight. Scenarios where it is less appropriate are supplier data management and user management. In the supplier case, we use Ariba as the supplier source of truth and allow for data entry by internal users and external suppliers to be manually entered. Oftentimes, the supplier data is entered incorrectly or poorly configured, causing integration issues with our ERP. For user management, the process for onboarding and offboarding users is cumbersome and overly complex, causing considerable resource constraints on global tech support.

We are using the SAP Ariba Procurement network to connect suppliers all over the world. The use of SAP Ariba Procurement for procurement purposes improved the efficiency of our procurement process. As a pharmaceutical company, we require many types of raw materials, instruments, equipment and consumables for manufacturing our medicinal products. SAP Ariba Procurement helped us to smoothen the procurement process and also brought transparency.
  • It allowed us to connect to millions of suppliers.
  • It brought transparency in procurement of goods.
  • It helps to manage and track order and payment status.
  • Navigation is not easy.
  • Getting live customer support is troublesome.
  • Sometimes errors occur resulting in duplication of PO.
SAP Ariba Procurement in conjugation with SAP S/4 HANA improved efficiency and output. SAP Ariba Procurement connects several vendors which helps to get competitive bidding for material to be procured. Vendor selection, purchase orders, and payments are online.

SAP Ariba is used as a global platform for indirect procurement, integrating with vendors, providing a selection of catalog services for users in the organization, and managing vendor invoices. SAP Ariba is also used for supplier onboarding, including pre-onboarding checks. The platform provides standardized processes across the organization and end-to-end integration.
  • Guided buying.
  • PO approvals.
  • Vendor integration (PO and Invoices).
  • Better manage vendor invoices for smaller suppliers and non-Ariba suppliers. Allow them to submit invoices and share invoice data, avoiding the AP team handling invoices.
  • Better workflow for supplier on-boarding, notifications.
  • Seamless integration between Ariba and OpenText VIM.
It's best suited for guided buying with a range of catalogs, reducing the load on the procurement function, and allowing business users to be in control of their needs.
